Solder or braze gas tank?

I have a gas tank for an atv that has a hole about 1/16th of an inch in diameter, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. I am limited on budget and material. The tank has been empty and open for about three months. I have flux and solder used for copper piping that i can use, also a small propane torch, if i were to braze it would either be with a coat hanger or a strip of brass i have. I am hoping to not have to strip too much paint off the tank but i will if neseccary. This fix needs to be as permenent as possible. This atv does NOT have suspension so the ride wil be rough and the patch needs to be able to take a beating somewhat. Which would be best for my conditions?
